Every year in the middle of summer, near the 4th of July, the county has a fair.
- The tolerable usually lasts through 2 weekends or more than eight afternoons total.
The county tolerable is exactly what you would expect from any tolerable and the country. The people I was with and I have rides, games, and lots of different food. The 4-H club shows off their chickens, horses, and pigs. There is an entire agricultural building devoted to crafts. Each year at the tolerable there are always a couple of contests from local companies hoping to advertise their products. Last year one of our friends entered a contest to win a weekend away. He was one of the winners and enjoyed 2 afternoons by the beach. He only had to pay the local taxes which were about more than seven bucks. The same supplier provided a spa weekend this year and everyone signed up for the contest. I was more interested in the room air conditioner giveaway. A local heating and a/c repair supplier was raffling off a room air conditioner. Each guy got a single raffle ticket and I made our mom and our brother sign up for the giveaway. I hoped I would be able to win the room air conditioner, however I never gained a iPhone call from the supplier. It would have been nice to win the machine, because the temperatures inside of our apartment are easily hot and uncomfortable. The arena has Central AC, however it does not work easily well and it’s always sticky in the study room. The study room would have been the perfect arena for a window unit.
