It always feels colder when it is windy outside, then during the summer time weeks, I pray for windy afternoons.
The outdoor temperatures are sizzling and humid and always above ninety degrees.
The wind cools our body and acts like a natural a/c system. During the winter, the wind makes the cold air believe much cooler! Both of our son’s play football while I was in the fall weeks, and the season does not end until the start of winter. When the kids make the playoffs, periodically there is snow on the ground! Last year the varsity football team made the district championship game. It was while I was in the hour week of February. Everyone hopes to find an indoor site, however every one of us had the game outdoors at one of the local University fields. The Wind made it believe much colder than it entirely was. The temperature was 40°, however it felt like it was cold outside. I was wearing a hat, gloves, and a heavy Wintertide sweater. I was still easily cold. The only arena with heat was the powder rooms. I snuck into the powder room to prefer the heat while I was in halftime, and I missed most of the Maying band. I warmed up nicely after 15 minutes in the heat. The last half of the game was intense and I did not want to leave the bleachers for a moment. By the time the game was over, I was ready for a sizzling cup of chocolate and a hot and toasty arena to sit. I wish the kids would have won the game that day, however they lost in a easily close game by a score of 45-41.
