Tons of bee nests in the wall

My husband and I bought a fixer upper home since we are handy people and didn’t have a lot of money. It made sense to repair the major things and leave other non essential items until later. Slowly the house has formed into my dream home. It was a rough road though. I remember my husband and I debating on taking the living room drywall down. It had popped seams, water damaged and just looked crumbly and old. We decided to attack the floors first and do walls perhaps at a later date. Well it was winter when we first thought about fixing the walls. By the time our floors were done it was the middle of summer and I started hearing an odd noise in the house. It sounded like a rumbling, buzzing noise. It took my husband and I forever to locate the sound. We then realized that behind the ruined drywall were bees nests. The two of us were scared to rip the drywall down and reveal just how many nests and what kind of bee. We hated to do it, but it was necessary to call a bee removal service. Thank goodness we did because there were tons of giant bees nests in there. One nest was almost as big as my head. After the bees were all cleared out of the walls, the two of us hurried to make it airtight with new drywall. The sound of those rumbling bees in the middle of the day was quite a scary sound. It could have been bad.
