I work as a certified heating and air conditioning specialist and this time of year things can get very busy! It is right when the extreme weather for the winter is beginning and there are a lot of central heating and air conditioning systems across the town that are breaking down. Also, a lot of people seem to invest in brand new central heat and a/c units this time of the year. It is a really crazy time. This week alone I have done 25 heat and a/c repairs and 10 brand new central heating and cooling system installations! That is more than I do most of the year. In the summer months when the weather gets bad we don’t even have this many heat and a/c break downs and installations. I really don’t know why in the beginning of winter this happens all the time, but I am fine with it because it even means that sometimes I get to work overtime at double the pay rate and this for me means better savings for my bank account. This usually lasts the first few months in the winter. Then after that it finally goes back to normal and I am very tired and wiped out from the work overload. But again, I feel it is great in the sense of having the opportunity to make a few extra bucks. This is all in a day’s work as a certified heating and air conditioning specialist working for one of the biggest heat and a/c dealership companies in my local area today!
