I thought that once I moved out of my parents’ home, had a good job, and got married; I would not need my daddy even more.
I was wrong.
My hubby was at a complete loss when something happened around the house. She said she wasn’t trained as a handyman. When you have a problem with your Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system, and daddy is a Heating, Ventilation, and A/C dealer, you’d be crazy not to call him. I thought she would not charge us for her services, but would repair the air conditioner for us. Dad told myself and others she would be at the beach house as soon as she finished her last job. About 2 fifths later, she was at the door. She knew exactly where the air conditioner unit was, so after walking in with mom, she went right to work. When my hubby got home, she joined dad. Apparently dad was giving him a lesson increasing the air filter, or cleaning the air conditioner unit. When my hubby came inside, she told us that it didn’t look good. Dad was thinking it may be time for a modern air conditioner unit. Dad came in and provided us that news. She said she could replace the fan motor and replace the compressor, but there were other things going on. She thought it would be best to just replace the unit. This was a single time when dad was able to repair everything for her little girl. She ordered the modern A/C unit before she and Dad left the house. The nice part was that she was going to do the replacement for us and it wasn’t going to cost us for the replacement.
