The pandemic, as it did with so more than 2 of us, turned our lives a bit upside down there for a while.
And sincerely, every one of us are just now sort of being able to embrace what looks prefer the current normal. It started with myself and others having to abandon the office I work in. The supplier shut the office pretty rapidly as the virus began to spread initially. I hated that because I loved our office and going to work in an office was all I knew in my professional life. Plus, the office had just gotten zone controlled Heating & Air Conditioning and I had a control equipment that was right outside my office. It was so good being able to customize the quality heating and air for work. I prefer to work a bit cooler than most. It sort of keeps myself and others sharper or so I think. Working from home was quite a odd situation. Although much of my work is independent in nature, I still had a difficult time finding a rhythm for working from home. Finally, I just had to clear out the guest room and do my work from there. Funny enough though, once I found a comfort zone for working remotely, I was on it. Like, my work quality and quantity took a large jump. So when the offices reopened, I chose to stay at home since my work in the past year had gotten myself and others a raise. Since this was permanent, I chose to make the guest room a full on office. I got a nice desk, chair and all the office device I’d need. Plus, I had the Heating & Air Conditioning supplier come out and install a ductless heat pump so I could customize the heating and cooling in my current kitchen.
