I guess it is amazing that women are finally equal with me. I know many women who make more currency than I do, and they get greater raises than I do. Occasionally I become a bit disgruntled over this, although I will admit that they need to work harder than I have. Last week, every one of us had a young woman come into the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C supplier and ask to speak to the owner. She said she was modern in city and came in to ask for a job. Our receptionist provided her an application to fill out and the girl hesitated. She told the receptionist that this was for an office job. She wanted an application for Heating, Ventilation, and A/C dealers. She pulled a stack of papers out of her trifold that were glowing reports from her past supervisors, fellow workers, and even buyers. She could have been a model if it hadn’t been that she only stood about 5’ 2”. All of us women stood around, anxiously waiting to hear what the boss thought. When she got in for an interview, every one of us all stood outside the door and listened for her laughter. Nearly an fifth later, she came out smiling, and the boss walked her to the door. I was about to ask him who she was, and why she was here, even though she beat myself and others to it. She told us that every one of us were looking at an award winning Heating, Ventilation, and A/C contractor and she was about to be the best Heating, Ventilation, and A/C tech in our area. I didn’t know if I wanted to be jealous, or ask her to marry me.
