It really is sort of a unusual world down here.
Having spent our entire life way up north, living here in the south entirely came with some adjustments.
And I’m not complaining. Most of the adjustments have been positive a singles. Still, this transport has required some getting accustomed to stuff that I really knew nothing about. Besides trying to figure out what grits are, I have had to adapt to not having a gas oil furnace during the winter. This is a big Heating and A/C change for me. Well, the whole transport is a big Heating and A/C change for me. Where I lived all of our life, we were super worried about the Wintertide and dealing with Heating and A/C heating costs. Down here, it’s the opposite. The main Heating and A/C focus in this area is the Heating and A/C cooling for the Summer months. And that’s as it should be because the Wintertide is just not at all something to worry about. Not only did I not need a gas oil furnace but the heat pump doesn’t even kick on all that often. The heat pump is the center of the residential Heating and A/C world in this section of the country. And it’s well equipped for that role. The heat pump is aptly named since a big section of the cooling process is to transport heat energy from inside the apartment to outside of the house. The more I l received about the heat pump, the more apparent it became that it was a combination of genius engineering and applied physics. For sure, getting accustomed to the heat pump as our source of heating and cooling wasn’t all that difficult.
