I reached out to the police captain after the theft

My partner and I went out of neighborhood for The 4th of July holiday, all of us went to the shore for the whole weekend.

  • All of us watched the fireworks at the beach and we decided to go to sleep with the sound of the ocean in the background, however it was harshly great and enjoyable.

I did not want to leave at the end of the more than two day weekend, when we came back from trip, the first thing that we noticed was the fact the a/c wasn’t running. It had been an harshly hot weekend and I was anxious that something might have happened to the AC unit, and my partner took care of the house and I checked on the a/c. When I got outside to look at the machine, I realized it was missing; Someone had stolen our AC unit. I never even heard of such a thing. I contacted the chief of police and I told the sheriff that the a/c had been stolen while we were on trip. 2 hours later, a police detective showed up with a fingerprint kit… There was 1 guy there to take fingerprints and he barely bothered to check anywhere for evidence. The detective gave myself and others a company card and told myself and others to call the homeowners insurance, then unluckyly for me, the police never found out who stole the AC component and the homeowners insurance didn’t cover theft of our AC unit. I was aggravated and frustrated, however our partner was downright irritated and ticked off. She legitimately has an issue with anger and losing her temper.
