Everybody that I currently know is upgrading to something smart.
Whether it be a smart TV, smart lights, a smart home device such as Alexa or in my case a smart thermostat.
This isn’t too surprising to me because almost everybody has a smartphone. So why not have all these other smart devices as well? So why shouldn’t I not add a smart thermostat in the mix too? If you ask me, that sounds like a great idea. I will be able to control the temperature inside my home with a smart thermostat. A programmable thermostat simplifies your life by allowing you to control your temperatures from anywhere and everywhere. I love this advancement in HVAC technology. It really does give me full control of my indoor climate. This is really great too if you know someone that has allergies. But they have a smart thermostat. If you know they are going to arrive home soon, you can quickly turn on your heating and AC system and that will help lessen their allergies as long as you have a clean and well working heating and cooling system. For a bonus you could add a HEPA filter to the mix and make it even better. Now, while I know that having all of this advanced technology is a good thing. I’m not certain if it is something I would want for myself. I don’t really need an upgrade and I kind of prefer the older dial thermostats, even with as nice as all the new technology sounds, sometimes going simple is better.
