I live in an apartment building that has been undergoing construction for the past few months and it has been a disaster.
I think the construction is going to be happening for the rest of the year too.
When it all started it was just in the common areas like the lobby and the pool area, but now they want to start remodeling all the apartments even the ones with tenants. Today, I have had an HVAC crew at my apartment for about six hours. I had to call out of work so that I could be here when the HVAC crew arrived. I don’t think that I will be able to take off any more time if the HVAC crew can’t get it all finished today. I was speaking with one of the HVAC techs to see if they had any idea how much longer it would take and he seemed pretty confident that they were going to have to come back another day and finish replacing my HVAC unit. I don’t understand why it is taking so long to replace my HVAC unit, but I guess that is why I am not the HVAC professional. I hope that if they do have to come back out to my apartment that they can come on the weekend and I won’t have to take any more time off work. I don’t think that my boss is going to be too happy if I have to take more time off for HVAC repairs.
