When I asked our wifey to transfer her life in with me, I had no idea it was going to be so luxurious.
As soon as she came over and moved into the apartment, she started to complain about the furniture & the little home office. I told our wifey that I did not mind if she wanted to make a few changes to our shared place. I even offered to pay for some new interior upgrades that would add sophistication & definitely make the locale look more beautiful. My wifey thought that was a reason to spend any amount of money that she wanted on custom built furniture & super high-end pieces of haute couture furnishings, and to the extent that she enlisted the help of an interior design firm & I saw the charge on our credit card. I can tell you, I immediately decided to discuss the elaborate spending with our wifey. She rapidly told me that the new home looks like a bachelor pad & she insisted that the locale actually needed to look like she lived there as well. I decided to provide her that & let her make all of the changes. I did ask her to hold off on any more high-end pieces of custom furniture until after the two of us finished paying for the remodel. We spent multiple long years making changes to the apartment, so our wifey would know more at home. I did not previously realize how much I would love the changes, & I have been honestly happy with the look, feel, & overall quality of our new surroundings. I miss the foosball table & the leather recliner, but this new home is more like a home.
