I wasn’t going anywhere but I didn’t want to be left at home alone.
So, I chose to go for a drive with mom since she was going to town.
My mom and I are tight, so during my college holidays, I always try to spend as much time with her as I can. Ever since I went to college, we’ve tried our best to stay in touch. Funny, I always thought mom would insist I live at home and go to college every morning. But, she told me it was better I live at school, and we’d meet up every other weekend. Well, we always have a mani pedi date at the end of the month, and the distance has been good for us. Mom and I no longer fight as much as we did when I was living at home as a teen. And this is so great since she is my best friend in the whole world. Well, since I was at home for the summer holidays, I chose to go with her as she ran an errand at the HVAC store. Perhaps we could get a cup of coffee before we went to the HVAC store to get some air filters. Mom has always been strict regarding the HVAC system. She said it’s only through proper maintenance that the unit is still going 9 years after installation. Mom always ensures she changes the air filters once a month to guarantee better indoor air quality. Plus, this helps to improve the lifespan of the HVAC system. She is always super happy when the HVAC expert comments the unit is in great working condition.
