My brother and his wife a week ago stayed over at my place for a day. They were going on vacation, and since their vacation spot was a long drive away, they decided to stop in the middle of the drive, and save some money by staying at my place for a day, rather than a hotel. I didn’t mind this at all, I don’t get to see my brother often enough as it is, so I was quite happy to be able to spend time with him for a day. Anyways, I guess my home wasn’t cooled enough for him or something, because he bought a portable HVAC system, even though he was only going to be here for a day. He kept the portable A/C in the guest room where he and his wife slept. I asked him whether the indoor air temperatures were too hot, and he said they were. The thing is, if he had just asked, I would have been more than willing to turn the temperatures down to whatever he preferred, but he told me that it was fine, and that he had been meaning to get a portable air conditioning unit anyways. The next morning came, and after we all had breakfast, my brother and his wife set off on their road trip again. I’m still surprised he just went out and bought a HVAC machine like that, probably from a nearby HVAC store. Those portable HVAC systems are nice though and very efficient, I wouldn’t mind eventually getting one for my own home.
