The Humidity Was On The Outside of The Window And Not The Inside

I’m really glad that the humidity levels in the house are normal though and there were no concerns with the HVAC system

I’ve started getting up early in the morning, before everyone else in the house. I find that this is the only time where I can enjoy some peace and quiet before the chaos ensues. During the times I get up early, I notice condensation on a few of the windows in the kitchen and living room. Condensation buildup isn’t normal, so I decided to call an HVAC professional to discuss the excess humidity before it became a bigger problem. Since I called the HVAC company so early, they were able to squeeze me in that morning. I showed the HVAC professional the condensation that was lingering on the windows and asked for his opinion. The HVAC professional immediately told me that there was nothing to worry about. I was relieved to hear these words, but I was concerned by his quick answer. The HVAC professional explained that if the condensation was happening on the inside of the window panes then there would be an issue, because the water would drip onto the window frame and cause mold and mildew. Thankfully, the water was on the outside of the window, which was caused by humidity coming from outside the house. I felt a little silly that I didn’t pick up on the moisture being on the outside of the window frame. I’m really glad that the humidity levels in the house are normal though and there were no concerns with the HVAC system. That could’ve been an expensive fix that I wasn’t prepared for.
