I love a lot of things about my wife that’s for sure.
The fact that she sort of brought the joy of the holidays back to my life is one of them. The truth is that I really sort of dreaded the holidays since like my highschool days. That had everything to do with my parents divorce. It just cast a pall over the holidays as my sister and I were shuttled from one house with too much HVAC to another with not enough. It really was a giant good times killer for sure. So I sort of just moved on from Christmas when I graduated college and got out of the HVAC heating sauna that was my mom’s house. Then I met my wife. She is the sort of person who sees magic in just about everything. And that goes double when it’s Christmas. Her big thing is decorating for Christmas while I do all the cooking. One thing I really love, aside from the normal thermostat setting in our home, is all the candlelight during the holidays. My wife loves to burn lots and lots of holiday candles. I have to say that I find that atmosphere quite appealing and cozy. However, when all those candles get to burning, it’s time to stock up on HVAC air filters. This is due to the fact that all that burnt candle wax ends up coating the air filter. I mean it forms an almost impenetrable wax seal on the air filter if you don’t change them out quite often. So I make sure I stop by and pick up a case of HVAC air filters right before Thanksgiving just to be sure.
