Bought my own mini split – energy bill is still an issue

I will do anything that I can to live peacefully with another human being.

I have had a lot of challenging roommate situations that have made this my inherent rule. I never want anybody to feel upset with me or uncomfortable in the space that we are sharing. At the same time, I wind up getting walked all over thanks to my extreme consideration for other people. One of the things that is continually a challenge in my roommate situations is finding a heating, cooling, and ventilation control program that makes everybody happy. I am the sort of person who does not require a great deal of air conditioning throughout the summer. I like to have my bedroom very cool at night, but I do not need as much air conditioning expense throughout the day. In the winters, on the other hand, I need a lot of heating intervention. I am always cold and it is necessary for me to rely on a furnace more often than not. I know that this can be challenging for other people who are not as cold-blooded as I am. This is why I was amenable to the idea of purchasing my own separate mini split ductless heating and cooling system so that our central furnace did not have to bend to my ice cold will. Unfortunately, apparently buying my own mini split ductless heating and cooling unit still did not make my roommate happy. Even though I am now operating an entirely separate HVAC unit, she is continually worried about our indoor air quality and our energy bills. She insisted that my separate mini split ductless HVAC system is causing our electricity to rise through the roof. Now, I’m paying for the entire energy bill and using a separate HVAC unit. This seems unfair.
