Want kid to follow in my footsteps; confident

As a young buck, I could not ever understand why people wanted to make families.

It sounded like a crazy sacrifice to make your entire life based on a plan that would support others.

Just work every day for the sake of other humans who could be awful. As a grown up, now I guess that this was a very selfish perspective to have. Today, I honestly understand the appeal of having children… because I have my own. The best thing about them is passing on your own knowledge. I have a few kids who I have been carefully training to follow in my large heating, cooling, and ventilation footsteps. To be honest, before the age of 10 I want them to know the ins-and-outs of modern indoor air temperature control equipment as much as possible. After that, I don’t really care if they go on to become professional heating, cooling, and air quality control technicians the way that I did. However, I want them to be able to be confident in themselves. No matter what they do, I want them to be innovative and successful – whether they become heating and cooling workers or not. But, first, they need to know the importance of working with your hands. This means, they should know how to maintain, diagnose, and even repair basic indoor air temperature control devices. I figure, if they are capable of troubleshooting their own heating, cooling, and ventilation machinery then they will always be able to fall back on that self-confidence. They’ll never live with the impending sense of doom that comes from a rapidly deteriorating HVAC system and self-doubt. Maybe, they will even become expert HVAC techs… just like me.
